VACATION RENTAL OPTIONS FOR TRASH SERVICE

Each home must have the minimum service level in order to participate (year round or 3 month summer service).  The minimum service for each home must be maintained and/or paid for 3 months and should be at the proper service level for the specific home. If your property does not have sufficient service for the occupancy levels, you will probably have trouble with excess trash with every guest departure.

  • Special Pickup can be performed on the earliest business day following the request (must be called in by 3 pm business day prior to pickup request), or if property manager/owner requests, after guest departure on a later date. You can email us your special request to our office as well as phone in before 3 pm.
  • Off season, on-call service for homes which maintained summer minimum service charged at a per-can rate on normal pickup day for that address. You can email us your on-call request to our office as well as phone in before 3 pm.
  • Prepaid Moore Bros Bags can be used by any handyman or housekeeper whom you hire to empty one can should you have a guest turn around a day or two before normally scheduled pickup. This will ensure the newly arriving guests have somewhere to dispose of their trash for a day or two until the cans can be emptied on service day. This can be disposed of on Par court in the PML maintenance yard off of Mueller Dr.

Below is the suggested service level based on the maximum occupancy of the vacation rental.   If the home consistently exceeds the listed occupancy, you should bump the service level to match.

  • Maximum occupancy 8 or less – 2 Can Service
  • Maximum occupancy 8 to 10 – 3 Can Service
  • Maximum occupancy 10 to 12 – 4 Can Service Minimum unless home is a Lakefront which can require additional service levels

In addition, it is advisable that property owners/managers request notation on rental accounts to pick up extra as needed during the summer, high season. This will assist in helping to reduce the amount of excess trash guests might fill up a trash enclosure with.

 

If pickup day falls on the day of guest check out, please remember your guests will probably not put trash out before check out time (11:00 am) while trash pickup will occur as early as 6:00 am. An additional charge ($40) can be passed to guests who fail to put out trash the night before or in time for the regularly scheduled pickup. This will help to cover owner losses and may encourage guests to do their part in caring for the rental home responsibly.

 

Guest instructions for each home can be listed in a flyer handout specific to the home they rented as well as placed in a welcome packet to give to the guest upon arrival. Guest Books are a nice touch, but often ignored by vacationer’s in a hurry to get to the beach.

Moore Bros Scavenger Co., Inc will take all necessary precautions to protect your trash enclosures and/or trash receptacles from damage. However, Moore Bros Scavenger Co., Inc will not be held responsible for loss or damage to any and all trash enclosures and/or trash receptacles.

 

Customers renting or using totes, bins, open tops or bear boxes of Moore Bros Scavenger Co., Inc will be held responsible for all damages to equipment resulting from improper use or negligence.  Charges will be billed out to customers should damages occur during equipment possession or use.

 

Release from Liability. To the extent permitted by Applicable Law, customer releases Moore Bros Scavenger Co., Inc and its Affiliates, and their employees, agents and representatives from any and all liability, damage, loss, cost or expense incurred by the releasing party, whether or not due to the negligence or other acts or omissions of the Persons so released.
